Those already preparing to pig out at Christmas - while still not being able to lose those Thanksgiving excesses! - can at least look forward to shedding a few pounds in Singapore come Dec. 31.
How and why, you ask? Party people can always check into these hip haunts to work some moves while burning off unwanted calories after a classy New Year Eve's gala dinner or two.
* Azzura, the multi-level entertainment, dining and "hydrosports" center on Sentosa Island is having a WE ARE VIP Siloso New Year's Beach Party already hailed to be one of Asia's biggest and wildest beach parties.
Dance to pumping beats produced by artists Seb Fonaine (UK), North & South (UK), Zig Zach (a local scratch artist) and resident DJ DenoDusk comprising everything from electronic, trance, progressive to minimal house until 6 a.m. on the morning of Jan. 1. A VIP access pass gets you into The Harem indoor party, where top DJs mix club classics and funky house beats.
* Homeclub, the "glamorous underground" haunt on Upper Circular Road, is celebrating the glamorous and oh-so ludicrous sides of pop culture with its aptly titled OMG! There will be two different parties going on: "Bump Room" has DJs Drem and Mylk mixing together a decade full of hip hop classics and R&B favorites while "Fash Room" features DJ Dave Does and DJ Inquisitive on electro trance featuring tunes from artists such as Justice, Scissor Sisters and LCD Soundsystem.
