Indonesians arrested in Manila over drugs

PHILIPPINES: Manila police arrested three Indonesians over charges of illegal possession of 1.5 kilograms of methampethamines during a raid on Saturday night, Manila Bulletin reported.

Philippine National Police spokesman Chief Supt. Leonardo Espina said the women were arrested at about 9:30 p.m. at the corner of Eduque Street and Makati Avenue during a drug sting.

The suspects were identified as Magdalena Ridwhan, Mary Ridwhan, and Secilia Ridwhan.

Espina said "six packs of self-sealing transparent plastic packs which contain white crystalline substance suspected to be crystal meth weighing 1.5 kilograms" were seized from the Indonesians. The estimated street value of the confiscated illegal drugs was placed at 12 million pesos. - JP
