Letters: Thanks, Fitness First

A- A A+

On Dec. 6, I went to Fitness First (FF), located in the Semanggi Plaza, to do some exercise. After doing some exercises, I took the body balance class at noon but collapsed at the end of the class. It seemed that I had a cold and my stomach had cramped.

The instructor, Munfa, who was still teaching the relaxation part of the class, offered to help. She did everything she could to help me: She asked me to lay down on my stomach to reduce the cramp, she applied some balm to my back and stomach, she massaged the area between my forefinger and thumb to get rid of the cold. From the way she treated me, I could see that she had an expertise in these matters.

After the class, other members of FF, who I don't know very well, and the reception staff also offered to help me. They went to the nearest supermarket and drug store to get some medicine.

After an hour of treatment, Munfa suggested that I go to the nearest hospital, but I disagreed and I told her I wanted to go home instead. So everybody got busy preparing for my departure; they packed all my stuff from my locker, got me a cab and found a male staff member to lift me and carry me to the cab. FF staff members accompanied me home. When I arrived home, they helped me walk to the house. They left after they were sure I was not alone at home.

I would like to thank the FF management, which provided such a service. My deepest gratitude and salutation goes to Munfa, my colleagues at FF (I am very sorry that I forgot to ask their names) and the reception staff (Verdi and his team). FF does have well-trained instructors and cares for their members. Now, I truly believe that I have signed up at the right place to exercise.

Thank you very much, Fitness First.
