Four supporters of a local soccer club were injured after they were shot during a post-match riot in Tangerang on Tuesday.
The Persikota Tangerang supporters were en route to their homes after watching a soccer match in Benteng Stadium when they became embroiled in the riot with local residents, Kompas.com reported.
Suddenly, there were gunshots from the residents, which injured four supporters. The injured were rushed to Tangerang Hospital.
Meanwhile, one police officer, identified as Adj. Comr. Saptomo, reportedly died from an illness after safeguarding the supporters.
