Comr. Gen. Susno Duadji is open to dialogue with police expert Bambang Widodo
Umar following the latter’s critical statement that Susno was unfit for the
post of deputy national police chief.
“We will wait until Dec.24, which is the deadline of our
latest letter, for Bambang to initiate dialogue,” Johnny Situwanda, Susno’s
lawyer, told the Jakarta Post on Tuesday.
”If it turns out that we hear nothing by that day, then
he leaves us with no choice but to report this problem to the police,”
Commenting on this, Bambang Widodo Umar, who also has offered a dialogue, said
he appreciated Susno’s lawyer for the good will.
“Of course I am glad that Susno is willing to hold a dialogue, but I need to discuss the matter with my lawyers,” he said. Susno earlier sent Bambag two warning letters.
Susno was discharged from his post as the National
Police detective chief following his involvement in the framing of the
Corruption Eradication Commission deputies.
