TANGERANG: The municipal legislative council and a number of NGOs have urged the Tangerang municipal administration to take a stand against illegal nightclubs in Pinangisa, Karawaci district, Tangerang.

Mahdi, secretary of commission B that oversees tourism at the council, said the administration was too lenient on the night spots, which had been operating without permits.

“If the administration legalized the  night spots, they would contribute Rp 100 million to the regional revenue each month,” he said.
