Bank Danamon and Bank BNI said Thursday they will add more funds to the automatic teller machines (ATMs) during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Bank Danamon operation director Muliadi Rahardja said Thursday that Bank Danamon would double the money in its ATMs.
"We add more money to ATMs to serve customers," he said as quoted by Kompas.com.
Kompas.com also reported that Bank BNI had prepared Rp 4.85 trillion (US$490 million) to supply the bank ATMs.
The bank spokesperson, Intan Katoppo, said Bank BNI began on Thursday increasing the funds stored in its ATMs from Rp 339 billion to Rp 441 billion a day.
