Gerindra head visits hospitalized Gus Dur

JAKARTA: Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) chairman Suhardi visited former president Abdurrahman "Gus Dur" Wahid at Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital in Central Jakarta on Sunday.

"He said he wanted to take a walk, even though he was sick," Suhardi said. "I also discussed some things with him, particularly the current state of the country."

He added Gerindra chief patron Prabowo Subianto would also likely visit the ailing former president. - JP
