Woman burns police general's car

JAKARTA: A woman on Monday burned a police car parked in the complex of the National Police headquarters, South Jakarta.

Police officers confirmed that the car belonged to a two-star general.

A witness said the woman, whose identity was not immediately known, poured gasoline on the car and set it on fire.

Shortly after the incident, an official put out the fire. The woman was later arrested by police.

While taken into custody, the woman said she was very upset with police because the investigators did not follow up a complaint she filed months ago. - JP
