Chris John ready to fight in April

World Boxing Association (WBA) featherweight champion Chris John of Indonesia said he was ready to defend his title in April next year.
"I want to fight in April," Chris John said as quoted by Kompas.com on Tuesday. "I am looking for a promoter for the bout now."
Chris John said he still had a contract with promoter Oscar de la Hoya, but it only applied in the U.S.
"If I fight outside the U.S., I have to find my own promoter," he added.
Chris John's last fight was against U.S. fighter Rocky Juarez, in September, Las Vegas, where he won by a unanimous decision. He never lost in his 43 bouts.
