reported that the Yudhoyono arrived at the police office at 1:50 p.m., welcomed by Coordinating Political, Legal and Security Affairs Minister Djoko Suyanto and Police chief Gen. Bambang Hendarso Danuri.

He is scheduled to hold a teleconference with 30 regional police chiefs across the country about the security situation during festive celebrations.

“The President will check on ‘Lilin’ or the Candle operation. He will give direct instruction [on the operation],” Bambang said.
