Six people were killed in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a Kijang minivan on the north coast road in Subang regency, West Java, early Friday.
Witnesses said five people aboard the minivan died instantly, while the sixth passenger, Ensi Pratisina, was rushed to Efarina Etaham Hospital in the neighboring town of Purwakarta. Doctors, however, could not save her life.
A health worker, Marli, told kompas.com the minivan overturned after the collision. The car, which was leaving Jakarta, had crossed the road median, possibly because its driver, Amin, suffered fatigue.
All bus passengers and crew survived the accident uninjured.
As of 10 a.m. on Friday no family members of the dead victims had arrived at Sri Bhakti Sisma Medika clinic to identify the bodies.
