Thousands of visitors crammed the Beautiful Indonesian Miniature Park (TMII), East Jakarta, to spend the new year on Friday.
Kompas.com reported that there were long queues since 9:30 a.m. Residents brought their children, who are enjoying school holidays.
Sugeng Sutrisno, a resident from Cimanggis, said that he had been waiting for a long to time to visit the park with his children.
Ninety-three security officers are guarding the area. According to park security post data, around 16,000 people were at the park on New Year's Eve. (ewd)
