Six killed in north coast road accident

SUBANG, W. Java: Six people were killed in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a Kijang minivan on a north coast road in Subang regency, West Java, early on Friday.
Witnesses said five people on board the minivan died instantly, while the sixth passenger, Ensi Pratisina, was rushed to Efarina Etaham Hospital in the neighboring town of Purwakarta.
Doctors, however, could not save her.
A health worker, Marli, told kompas.com the minivan overturned after the collision. The car, which was leaving Jakarta, crossed the median strip, possibly because its driver, Amin, was suffering from fatigue.
All bus passengers and crew survived the accident uninjured.
As of 10 a.m. on Friday no family members of the victims had arrived at Sri Bhakti Sisma Medika clinic to identify the bodies. - JP
