JAKARTA: The South Jakarta police has named Sutikno, a pickup driver, a suspect in a train accident that recently occurred at a rail crossing near Pasar Minggu train station.
"The driver is a suspect because he was proven to have passed through a crossbar *despite the warning alarm*," Asan Untoro said, the chief of South Jakarta traffic police Wednesday as quoted by vivanews.com.
The pickup, which Sutikno drove collided with a train passing from Pasar Minggu station to Tanjung Barat station.
Sugiyono, a colleague of Sutikno, died while Sutikno was able to save himself by jumping out of his car.
During the accident, 30 vendors were riding on the back of the pickup and about 20 of them were injured. - JP
