Two Singaporeans die when boat sinks in Bintan

BINTAN, Riau Islands: Four people died and 11 others remained missing after a boat sank off Bintan Island, Riau Islands province, on Wednesday.

Domestic television station TVOne reported two of the dead were Singaporeans while the other two were Indonesians.

It said search and rescue teams from Indonesia and Singapore were still searching for the missing. - JP
