Chairman of the Constitutional Court Mahfud M.D is scheduled to meet with interim chief of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Tumpak Hatorangan Panggabean on the former data on middlemen there.
Mahfud said he would discuss with Tumpak on Tuesday over such practices.
“I will report it to the KPK,” Mahfud said without elaborating on the planned discussion.
On Saturday in Pontianak, Mahfud said that he had received reports on the middlemen at the antigraft body after the Court presented a controversial recording between businessman Anggodo Widjojo and some high-ranking officials to allegedly frame the KPK leaders.
He admitted he had enough data and supporting evidence.
Meanwhile, the presidential judiciary corruption squad is to meet with the Court over the middlemen finding
The presidential judiciary corruption squad will meet with chairman of the Constitutional Court.
“I communicated with the chairman. We made an appointment to discuss Wednesday in connection with a report on the middlemen at the antigraft body,” team secretary Denny Indrayana said in Jakarta on Monday.
Denny said that his team would review and follow up the report carefully so it would not be perceived as an effort to weaken the KPK.
Meanwhile, the KPK spokesman Johan Budi SP said that his office was ready to be investigated by the team.
“We're ready. This body should be clean from such practices. I believe Pak Mahfud has the data,” he told kompas.com. (ewd)
