Five die of diarrhea in East Nusa Tenggara

KUPANG: At least five people are reported to have died of diarrhea in South Central Timor regency, East Nusa Tenggara, over the past week.

Regency health agency head Yuli Butu said Tuesday dozens of local residents had also been treated for the ailment at healthcenters and hospitals.

She added a medical team had been deployed to the affected area.

Hundreds of infants are also reported to be suffering from diarrhea and dengue fever in Kupang, Belu, Sikka and Alor. - JP
