The presidential-appointed task force into judicial corruption will meet Wednesday afternoon with Justice and Human Rights Minister Patrialis Akbar to discuss the team's finding of luxury facilities for high-profile inmates at a Jakarta penitentiary.
Team secretary Denny Indrayana said the meeting would take place at 4 p.m. at the ministry office in Kuningan, South Jakarta.
“Our meeting meant as a follow-up to our recent findings. We'll explain it all later at a press conference,” he said briefly.
The team held an impromptu inspection of several penitentiaries in Jakarta on Sunday evening, and found corruption convict Artalyta Suryani receiving special salon treatment in her oversized cell, which was decked out with a TV, couch, air-conditioning, computer, refrigerator and karaoke lounge, among others.
Minister Patrialis has since suspended chief warden Sarju Wibowo of the Pondok Bambu Women’s Penitentiary, where the discovery was made.
