Wanton warlord?

Suspect Andal Ampatuan Jr. is handcuffed by an agent of the Philippine National Bureau of Investigation before leaving the detention compound for a court in Manila on Wednesday. Ampatuan, the mayor of a town in southern Maguindanao province, where his family ruled unopposed for years, has been charged with 41 counts of murder in the Nov. 23 attack on an election caravan in the volatile south of the country.
