The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency in Surabaya, East Java, has issues a warning of rain and strong wind for the province, particularly in elevated areas, for the rest of the week.
“For the next three days we’ll have heavy rain across the province, especially on the higher plains, both by day and by night,” agency official Joko Sulistyo said Wednesday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
He added coastal areas would see more rain in the daytime, while inland areas would see more rain at night. The agency also warned fishermen of strong western winds ranging from 5 to 30 kilometers per hour.
Joko said the current rainy season would last until March.
