No safety net

Daily workers wait for work on a sidewalk in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta. Unemployed workers congregate in several spots in the city where they wait for temporary work. They get jobs during periods of economic boom, but struggle during economic slowdowns. These workers are also not protected by any form of insurance. JP/R. Berto Wedhatama
