Wind and rain topple trees, inundate streets

JAKARTA: Strong winds and heavy rain hit the capital Thursday, bringing down three trees and inundating 12 streets.
The city traffic police website reported 15 to 70 centimeters of rainfall.
The trees that fell were located close to the Pondok Indah Mall in South Jakarta.
"No casualties have been reported ... but pedestrians and motorists are urged to be careful during this stretch of *bad* weather," the website said. - JP
