Boediono visits East Kalimantan

JAKARTA: Vice President Boediono scheduled a working visit to Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, on Friday.

Boediono, accompanied by his wife Herawati and his entourage, arrived at Sepinggan Airport in Balikpapan, at 8 a.m. local time after departing from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta.

The Vice President visited SMUN 1 state high school, the Istiqomah mosque and the city administration office Friday.

Herawati visited Kebun Sayur Market, a central trading center for Kalimantan gemstones, semi-precious stones and souvenirs.

Kalimantan Military District and East Kalimantan Police guaranteed security during the visit where there were rumors of massive rallies. - JP
