Irawati Arinda, the wife of murdered pharmaceutical company executive Nasruddin Zulkarnaen, has filed for damages from former antigraft chief Antasari Azhar, the prime suspect in his murder.
Irawati did not mention the amount of damages she was seeking. She filed her case with the South Jakarta District Court on Jan. 15.
Presiding judge Herri Swantoro said Tuesday the court would examine evidence in connection to the request at Antasari’s next hearing.
“I therefore ask the defendant or his lawyers to respond to the request in their defense statement to prosecutors' charges,” Harri said.
