Artalyta loses appetite at Tangerang women's prison

TANGERANG: Artalyta Suryani, who now has to share her cell in Tangerang Women's Penitentiary with other inmates, has not touched the prison food since she was transferred from Pondok Bambu prison last week.

Artalyta, and two other inmates, Darmawati Dareho and Liem "Aling" Marita, are still in the prison's isolation room.

"We have prepared a cell for Artalyta in the Mawar pavilion and she will share the room with three other inmates," said chief warden Arti Wirastuti.

Arti said Artalyta was not familiar with prison food as she previously had food delivered to her by her relatives.

Artalyta, Darmawati and Liem were transferred to Tangerang Women's Penitentiary following the recent finding by an antigraft taskforce that wealthy inmates were receiving luxury treatment at the Pondok Bambu Penitentiary. - JP
