Ministers report wealth to the KPK

State Environment Minister Gusti Muhammad Hatta and State Administrative Reforms Minister E.E Mangindaan on Thursday reported their wealth to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Antara state news agency reported that Gusti's wealth was Rp 467. 4 million (US$ 50.344) and $1,000 on Nov. 10, 2009.
Mangindaan's wealth stood at Rp 4. 9 billion as of Nov. 13, 2009, down from Rp 6.9 billion on April 18 of the same year.
“My wealth decreased significantly because of the lowering value of my assets in fishery,” Mangindaan told Antara.
Data from the KPK revealed the asset was worth Rp 2.85 billion on April 18, 2009, but dropped to Rp 900 million on Nov. 13, last year.
On the same day, the KPK announced the wealth of former social minister Bachtiar Chamsyah was down from Rp 3.4 billion on Nov. 12, 2004, to Rp 3. 1 billion on Nov. 9, 2009.
Previously, KPK deputy chairman M. Jasin said that all 37 state ministers had reported their wealth to the antigraft body. (ewd)
