URABAYA, East Java: Ten teachers from the province are to be dispatched to Australia in February to teach Indonesian at a number of schools in the neighboring country.
The teachers come from ten schools in Surabaya, Malang and Jombang.
The dispatch is part of the "Bridge Project" between the local administration and Australia.
Saiful Rahman, an administra-tion official in charge of the cooperation, said that the project, which begun in 2008, had received a positive response with more Australians being interested in learning Indonesian.
