Ari Muladi, witness of a high profile graft, is banned from leaving the country.
“The banning was issued by the KPK [Corruption Eradication Commission],” said immigration officer for the Justice and Human Rights Industry R. Muchdor on Monday, as quoted by Antara. The banning valid per Jan. 29, until Jan. 27 next year.
No further information on Ari’s possible change in status followed the banning issue.
Ari reportedly was an alleged middleman of a fabricated graft case involving top officials at the KPK and businessman Anggodo Widjojo.
Anggodo has been detained for possibly handed money to Ary in an attempt to have leaders of the KPK halt their investigation into the graft case concerning communication company PT Masaro Radiokom, which belongs to his brother, Anggoro Widjojo. (nkn)
