KUPANG, East Nusa Tenggara: Social Services Minister Salim Segaf Al-Jufri lamented the poor management of a Braille computer project, which he deemed to result in unfair treatment of the blind.

Salim said he still found disparities between in Java and Kupang in terms of access to the machines.

"They *in Kupang* have no access to Braille computers. We want them to be like those in Java," Salim said during a dialogue at a rehabilitation center for the blind in Kupang on Sunday.

East Nusa Tenggara has 228 rehabilitation centers for the sight-impaired, but none have received Braille machines from the Social Services Ministry. - JP
