JAKARTA: The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will question Robert Tantular, one of the owners of the collapsed Bank Century, whose scandalous bailout has rocked the administration of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Robert, who has been serving a five-year sentence for his role in the collapse, will be questioned about where the Rp 6.76 trillion (US$716 million) in bailout money was channeled, KPK spokesman Johan Budi said Sunday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.

Robert, who is due in at the KPK either today or Wednesday, will also be questioned on the US$18 million deposited by cigarette tycoon Budi Sampoerna, who has accused him of swindling it.

A Jakarta court sentenced Robert to four years in September. Upon appeal the court added another year to his prison term. - JP
