Thieves rob former police chief's house

JAKARTA: Thieves robbed a house belonging to former police chief Gen. (ret) Rusdihardjo on Jl. Mendawai I, Kramat Pela, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta on Sunday.
Tempointeraktif.com reported that the thieves damaged the front gate and entrance door to get into the house, which is now used as an office for security guard supplier PT Royalguard Indonesia.
Suripto, one of the security guards at the complex, said that the case was revealed after the security guards became suspicious regarding the gate and door, which were opened at 9 a.m.
"The gate and door are usually closed every Sunday," Suripto said.
Sumarlan from the Kramat Pela neighborhood, Unit 7, said that the former police chief did not stay at the house, but his employees'.
Officers from the Kebayoran Baru sector police, the South Jakarta Resort Police and the city police are currently investigating. - JP
