A Golkar Party lawmaker on the House of Representatives’ inquiry committee for the Bank Century bailout will seek clarification from the Supreme Audit Agency concerning the finding of 11 unregistered depositors who received the money disbursed for the bank.

"Their names are not listed on the Bank Century depositors list, in the depositors’ data from Bank Indonesia, or on the list from the police detective unit," Golkar’s Bambang Soesatyo told reporters on Tuesday.

"Therefore, I am going to clarify this matter at our meeting with the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) tonight."

Bambang said the depositors’ names were not those of political leaders.

The House is investigating a bailout that increased tenfold to Rp 6.76 trillion (US$716 million) from its original estimate.

The bailout was authorized in November 2008 by Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati and the then Bank Indonesia governor Boediono, now the Vice President.
