KPK urged to axe official over ethical violation

JAKARTA: The Cicak (Love Indonesia Love Anticorruption) movement urges the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to discharge its director of prosecutions Ferry Wibisono for an alleged violation of the KPK code of ethics

One of Cicak's members, Febriansyah from the Indonesian Corruption Watch, suggested the KPK return Ferry to his original institution, the Attorney General's Office.

"The KPK must cast out any trouble within," said Febriansyah, as quoted by kompas.com on Monday.

Ferry has come under fire after he ushered Wisnu Subroto, former deputy attorney general for intelligence, out of the KPK office following an interview recently. - JP
