The country's air transportation has targeted a 15 percent growth in passengers this year after posting a strong 17 percent growth last year.
Transportation Ministry's director general for air transportation Herry Bakti Singayudha Gumay said Wednesday the target could be reached if the economic situation remained stable.
He expected that people's purchasing power would increase and it would trigger the rise in flight passengers.
In 2009, the number of flight passengers reached 48.5 million people, up from 41.9 million one year earlier.
