A Bank Century customer Sri Gayatri promised Wednesday to buy an airplane for President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono if she got her money back from Bank Century affiliate, PT Antaboga Delta Securitas.

Gayatri told a hearing at the House of Representatives’ inquiry committee on the Bank Century bailout that she would approach other Bank Century customers to allocate 10 percent of their money invested in Antaboga.

She claimed her deposit account in Bank Century had reached Rp 2.8 billion (US$299,000), but the bank invested her money in Antaboga without her consent.

Antaboga collapsed after Bank Century fell into financial crisis in 2008. It had collected Rp 1.4 trillion from Bank Century customers. However, the customers have yet to get their money back despite the government’s US$ 6.7 trillion bailout being disbursed to the bank.
