City to revoke permits of market builders

JAKARTA: An official said he sent a letter to the governor asking for the revocation of operating permits for four suspects in the collapse of part of Tanah Abang market that killed four in December.
Property Management and Control Agency official Sahrudin said Tuesday that the sanctions would be imposed on Wardoyo, the supervising architectural director, Yunus Chandra, the architectural planner, Nursiwan, the supervising construction director, and Eddy Susanto, the structural planner.
"They are not allowed to operate in the capital," Sahrudin was quoted as saying by news portal tempointeraktif.com.
He said the sanctions lasted three years. - JP
