JAKARTA: Police in the Central Java town of Cilacap have arrested three people on charges of illegally producing traditional herbal medicine, or jamu.
National Police spokesman Insp. Gen. Edward Aritonang declined to identify the three, but said they have been detained at the National police headquarters in Jakarta.
"They attempted to bribe the arresting officers," Edward told a press conference Tuesday.
"They have run their *jamu* business for years along with their legal businesses as a front." - JP
