Ministers report wealth to KPK

National Development Planning Minister Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana; Health Minister Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih and Transportation Minister Freddy Numberi reported their wealth to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Wednesday.
Alisjahbana reported that her wealth and that of her husband combined was Rp 6.64 billion (US$710,381) and $28,195 as of Nov. 22, 2009.
Sedyaningsih’s wealth stood at Rp 4.04 billion ($431,815) and $44,356 as of Nov. 23, 2009, and Numberi’s wealth was Rp 4.06 billion ($434,166) and $77,674 as of Nov. 16, 2009.
Under Article 5 of National Law 28, 1999, ministers and other state officials are obliged to announce their wealth to the public prior to taking office and after their term. (tsy)
