Your comments on the plan of US President Barack Obama, who spent four years of his childhood in Jakarta, to visit Indonesia in March.

Obama’s visit would be great for both countries to improve their partnership in many fields.

I believe we can learn and benefit from Obama’s visit, but let’s give Obama a chance to learn from Indonesia — the second-richest country in the world after Brazil in terms of biodiversity.

We should be proud of our state ideology of Pancasila and the slogan of Unity in Diversity (Bhinneka Tunggal Ika).

Barack Obama may visits countries all over the world, but Jakarta, Indonesia should be different.

He must have an unforgettable memory of his childhood; where he and his mother, stepfather and sister lived in poverty in Menteng, Jakarta for years.

So his visit has to have a special meaning for him. Meanwhile, there is the possibility of a US government hidden agenda that will be not mentioned.

However, Indonesians are looking forward to him and his family visiting Jakarta.

It is so very different from when former US president George Bush came to Indonesia several years ago, when most people in Indonesia thought he was very arrogant, cruel and unfair to Islamic countries, especially in the Middle East, Palestine and Iraq.

Welcome to Indonesia, Obama! We hope you can deliver the change in US policy to the world.
Please remember that we hate the United States being dominant to the countries in the world.

Obama needs a holiday in Indonesia; it will give him somewhere to come to forget about his doomed healthcare bill and Afghanistan!

To be fair, I think Obama will take this chance not only to remember his short childhood in Menteng, but he may bring his country’s agenda too.

As a host, we should welcome everyone who wants to visit our country and hopefully our government will do an excellent job. So, welcome President Obama.
