Toyota Astra Motor of Indonesia has recalled 13 Prius sedans sold in Indonesia, following a global recall of vehicles by the Japan-based Toyota Motor Corp.
“We will visit the owners of the 13 Prius sedans to recall their cars, as a follow-up to the recent TMC announcement,” Toyota Astra president Johnny Darmawan said as quoted by Antara on Wednesday.
Toyota Astra will fix the troubled cars by reprogramming their software that oversees the controls of the anti-lock brakes.
On Tuesday Toyota reportedly recalled around 437,000 Priuses and other hybrid vehicles worldwide to fix the brake problems. (nkn)
