This year's registration for state university entrance online

Registration for the national entrance selection of state universities will be held online this year,  National Education Minister Muhammad Nuh said Monday.

“The online system should enable senior high school students to receive equal information. They can register themselves from their respective cities without traveling to bigger ones,” Nuh said.

The education minister made the remarks after witnessing the signing of an MoU for the application for an online registration system between the registration committee and state bank PT Bank Mandiri in Makassar on Monday.

Under the old system, students intending to take part in entrance tests were required to directly register to universities they were interested in as they had to pay registration fees and fill out registration forms.

Based on the MoU for an online system, Bank Mandiri will be in charge of providing its information system and technology equipment to handle various duties, ranging from the registration and payment to providing information on test results.
