630 policemen deployed to guard UNEP meetings

The Bali Police has said they deployed 630 policemen to guard the current United Nations Environment Porgramme (UNEP) meetings in Nusa Dua, Bali, which began on Sunday.
The first meeting is the eleventh session of Global Major Groups and Stakeholders, scheduled to be held from Sunday to Monday, followed by a special session of UNEP Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environment Forum from Wednesday to Friday.
Some 1,500 participants from 192 countries will attend the meetings.
Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is expected to open the Global Ministerial Environment Forum on Wednesday.
