Leaders of political parties that formed a coalition to support President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono are expected to hold a meeting at the President’s private residence in Cikeas in the West Java regency of Bogor later on Monday.

Among the attendants will be Golkar Party chairman Aburizal Bakrie, Golkar secretary-general Idrus Marham told kompas.com on Monday.

Idrus, who also heads the House of Representatives’ inquiry committee on the Bank Century bailout, said the meeting had nothing to do with the House’s investigation.

“Yes, there is a meeting in Cikeas, but it involves political parties, not the House inquiry committee,” Idrus said.

He had previously said leaders of the coalition partners might regroup to improve political communication among the parties, not to seek certain deals.

“The coalition agreement says the coalition should not keep the political parties from being critical. I believe such a meeting will not change [Golkar’s criticism],” Idrus said.

Golkar has insisted that the bailout was flawed and held then Bank Indonesia governor Boediono, who is the Vice President, and Finance Minister Sri Mulyani responsible for the bailout.

The inquiry committee delayed Monday a plenary meeting to hear the final report of the investigation until Tuesday.
