Police reconstruct mutilation case

JAKARTA: Officers from the Jakarta Police on Monday reconstructed the murder and mutilation case of Ardiansyah, which involves 48-year old vendor Baekuni, in five locations in the city.
Tempointeraktif.com reported that the first re-enactment was done nearby East Flood Canal on Jl. Raya Bekasi, Cakung, East Jakarta where the body of Ardiansyah was discovered on Jan. 8.
The other sites were around the Cakung subprecinct police office where the suspect took a public bus with the body, and in front of the Pulogadung Trade Center, East Jakarta, where the suspect invited the victim to his house.
Sr. Comr. Nico Apinta, head of the police's crime and violence unit, said there were 48 scenes in the case reconstructions, according to the case dossier. - JP
