The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency has warned fishermen and
sea transportation operators of the possibility of high waves in the eastern
part of the country.
There could be waves as high as five meters in the eastern part of the Timor
Sea and the western part of the Arafuru
Sea on Monday.
In the waters off the Moa Islands, the Babar Islands and the Tanimbar
Islands, in the western part of the Timor Sea and the eastern part of the Arafuru
Sea the waves could reach up to four meters.
There may be waves ranging between two and three meters in height in the
waters off the Sangihe and Talaud Islands, the northern part of Halmahera
Island, the northern part of Maluku, the southern part of the Banda Sea and the
southern part of Kupang and Rote Island.
