AKARTA: The Special Train Police division and the mobile brigade division of Jakarta Police rescued two sisters from a kidnapper in Rangkas, West Java.

Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Boy Rafli Amar said the suspect, identified only as "Her", had abducted the two girls, Indah Lestari, 8, and Fani Lestari, 7, when they were on their way to their house in Setia Duri Pulo, Central Jakarta, on Thursday.

"The suspect suddenly came and forced the two to take a train to Rangkas, Banten," Boy said as quoted by vivanews.com.

He said the suspect, who admitted to having sold another child, planned to sell the two girls for Rp 3 million (US$324) each. - JP
