Indonesian pop diva Titi Dwijayati, popularly known as Titi DJ, has forbidden her six children from watching local television programs claiming they are vulgar and contain cruel content.

“I have banned them [from watching local TV],” said Titi as quoted by detikhot.com on Tuesday evening.

The diva has four children from her two previous marriages with actor Bucek Deep and English teacher Andrew Hollis Dougherty, and two step children with musician Ovy.

Luckily, the 44-year-old singer who has released at least 15 albums since the beginning of his singing career in 1983, said her children preferred to watch foreign programs from cable TV.

“I don’t want to be a snob. But the local programs set such a bad example,” said Titi who just launched a new album.
