Officials from education agencies across the country on Thursday signed an integrity pact to administer national exams for secondary school students in March in a credible way.
"Credible means that the examination will be a success, and that it will be conducted fairly," National Education Minister Mohammad Nuh said after the signing of the pact in Depok, West Java.
The previous day, the coordinator of the Independent Supervising Team (TPI) for the examination, Hari Supratno, said there were “grey areas” in each province where cheating could take place.
Nuh said the pact would strengthen the officials' commitment to a fraud-free examination.
The results of the examination are used to gain admission into state universities. (dis)
