People in Aceh province are going about their daily activities as normal despite the recent counterterrorism operations carried out by the National Police in the region, Aceh Deputy Governor Muhammad Nazar said Wednesday.
"They are not affected by the recent raids on the terrorist hideouts," he told Antara state news agency in Banda Aceh.
Nazar said normal conditions prevailed in areas where the antiterror raids took place too, such as in Aceh Besar and Pidie districts.
Police this week raided a terrorist training ground killing three terrorist suspects and arresting 21 others. Three police officers and two civilians were killed in several firefights.
